You are 36 miles from Avon after crossing the Oregon Inlet Bridge. Once you enter Avon SLOW DOWN. and look for the one and only traffic light. This light is at the intersection of Highway 12 and Harbor Road. Avon Motel on the Left, Burger Burger on the right. TURN RIGHT.. You will pass the Avon Fire House on the right. Just past the Fir House is N. End Road. Blue camping sign on that corner. TURN RIGHT Campground is 300 feet on the right.
South:
After departing the Ferry you are 18 miles from Avon. You will travel thru the villages of Hatteras, Frisco and Buxton (home of the Cape Hatteras Light house). You will see Food Lion Plaza on the Left. If you need groceries this would be a good place to stop. Two miles past the Plaza you will come to a traffic light. Avon Motel on the Right, Sea Food Market on the Left. TURN LEFT Here. You will pass the Avon Fire House on the Right, N. End Road is just past the Fire House, turn Right here, Park is 300 feet on the right.
